These instructions are intended to guide you
through the process of creating and generating valid H series
connector assemblies.
The process of selection starts with modules, then a list of the
frames and their capabilities.
Remember that the H series frames and modules are broken up into
units. 1 unit = 2.54mm. Each module type represents different units
in width. The centre jackscrew will take up a certain number of
units as well depending on the frame that is chosen. The
configurator will automatically add up the module units as you
select them and help you to choose the good connector length.
Following url will allow you to see our PDF catalogue.
1. Step 1 - Modules arrangement
Modules are mains elements of this series;
several types are available.
In this stage, you just have to:
- Select
module type (tick the radio button)
- On
bottom frame, click on + or - in order to adjust number of modules
you need, and click [Add] button.
- Then
choose another module if necessary.
All modules are equipped with their contacts described.
Total pitches counter will indicate you the number of pitches
requested for this combination. The configurator will automatically
add up the module units as you select them.
If your modules combination is finish, then click [Next
>].
Tips for expert: If you know exactly your combination,
you can type directly on "Modules combination" field the requested
sequence; for example: 2PMS/3TMS/1PMS/3TMS and then [Next
>]
Tips for expert: Try to create a
symmetrical combination.
2. Step 2 - Frame choice
The frames hold the modules in position.
Several types are available, please consult our
catalogue for more information about frames.
(Available with or without jackscrew extractor or half turn quick
disconnect extractor; jackscrew extractor takes 3 units into the
useful space for the modules layout, Half turn quick disconnect
takes 5 units into the useful space for the modules layout).
Due to the locking device, the layout is
separated into 2 parts, each part, on each side of the locking
device, must have the same units number; but our configurator will
help you to manage this.
First click on "Frames available" button list; you will noticed
that our configurator will propose you only good length frames
!
As soon as you select a frame type, its preview shows you a picture
of plug and receptacle based on it.
If it's not the good one, you are able to make an
other selection.
Then you just have to choose if you want a Plug or a Receptacle
(click on radio button).
And [Next >] for final stage !
Warning: In order to use standard
number of pitches, based on your combination our configurator may
add some empty modules (PH type) in order to fill all
areas.
3. Step 3 - Output
On this latest stage, first enter your email
address. All results files will be send to it.
Then make your selection on CAD information you need to
